Chez-Vous HomeSearch was founded and is managed by Laurent Stadelmann and Jayne Leighton Herd.
So why set-up Chez-Vous HomeSearch?
“Well, through our extensive experience of buying, renting and letting property, we have grown increasingly frustrated over the years by the lack of any level of quality service provided to property buyers and tenants. The whole purchase and letting process is geared towards sellers and landlords, while buyers and tenants are more often than not left tearing their hair out!
We also found that we were in constant demand by family, friends and acquaintances as a resource on the local property market, to offer advice on their property decisions or even to help in the negotiation process. And it was on this last point that we realised, if we could help our clients to save money on the purchase or rental of a property, savings greater than any fees we would charge as a business, then we would have a model that would be beneficial to all parties.
So from there it was a natural progression to establish Chez-Vous and to use our property experience, business skills and our fundamental belief in the importance of excellent customer service to aid buyers and tenants. By managing the time-consuming and frustrating process on our clients’ behalf, we offer not only convenience, enabling our clients to continue their everyday lives, but also the opportunity to save money.”
Behind the faces of Chez-Vous
Laurent and Jayne have lived in Berkshire for over 12 years and own a varied property portfolio.
They are business and marketing professionals who have worked for corporations at the cutting-edge of the hi-tech and telecom industries.
“We understand the hectic lives and pressures of business executives and how difficult it is to balance time, business and family lives."
While Jayne and Laurent know that their property knowledge and experience are crucial to meeting their clients’ briefs, they believe that their clients benefit from a much wider mix of skills:
“Our business lives, and indeed our everyday lives, have always involved combining a range of skills in any given situation — negotiation skills, project management skills, interpersonal skills, and so on. And, most importantly, providing the most fundamental requirement of any successful business relationship: customer satisfaction. We are both dedicated to providing the highest possible levels of service for our clients. Quite simply, our success depends on their satisfaction. So our aim for each of our clients is to put the right combination of skills to work for their benefit to achieve that.”
Additionally, the directors of Chez-Vous are well positioned to meet the needs of UK relocators, and expatriates moving to the UK. Jayne lived, studied and worked in France for several years, and Laurent is a French national who has lived and worked in the UK for many years. Incidentally, they are both fluent English and French speakers.
“Having lived both the experiences of UK relocation and being expatriates ourselves, we understand only too well the issues associated with long distance moving and settling into a foreign country. We know how difficult it can be to find the right location to live in, let alone the right house! So we will do our utmost to relieve the pressure and ease the process for others.”
